Tour to Jordan (Petra)/ Egypt Combo Itinerary
Join Daniel Peterson

Day 1: Enjoy an extra night in Jerusalem as we prepare for our next adventure.
Day 2: Today we make our journey into Jordan. We travel on the King’s Highway stopping at Mt. Nebo where Moses looked out on the Holy Land. We will also visit the ancient city of Madaba before our journey to Petra where we will check into our fascinating hotel—a converted Bedouin village where each room is unique. (B, D)
Day 3: We will spend today visiting one of the New Seven Wonders of the World—Petra! At Petra we will walk between the towering cliffs leading to the magnificent edifice made famous by the movie, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The entire area is filled with fascinating caves and carvings that are sure to leave a lasting impression. Take the opportunity to ride a camel, a horse, or in a horse-drawn chariot for part of the journey. Enjoy lunch on our own at Petra. Our journey continues as we travel to Jordan’s largest wadi (a valley cut into sandstone and rock). Wadi Rum is the actual valley where Lieutenant T.E. Lawrence led the Arab revolt of 1916-18 and also where the 1962 film Lawrence of Arabia was filmed. Our adventurous journey through the sand dunes of Wadi Rum will be safari-style on the open-air seats of trucks or jeeps. Our safari ends with an unforgettable meal in an authentic Bedouin tent. We then board our bus again and end our day in Aqaba and check into our hotel for the night. (B, D)
Day 4: This morning we arise early and cross the Jordan/Israel border into Eliat and then cross the Israel/Egypt border to begin the Egyptian part of our adventure. Our time in Egypt begins with our 6-7 hour scenic journey to Cairo. That evening we will enjoy our Church Service before retiring. Overnight in Cairo. (B, L, D)
Day 5: Today we begin our tour of Cairo. We will visit the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, and the amazing Egyptian Antiquity Museum including King Tut’s exhibit. We will also visit the Papyrus Institute where we can do some shopping. Overnight in Cairo. (B, L, D)
Day 6: Today we visit Sakkara to see the fascinating step Pyramid of King Zoser, a carpet school, and then Memphis. After lunch we take a ride on a Felucca (a native sailboat) along the shores of the Nile. Before dinner we will spend some time shopping. Overnight in Cairo. (B, L, D)
Day 7: After breakfast, we say goodbye to Egypt and travel to the airport for our flights home.
